Independent Contractor – Training Video Producer & Editor
Hawaii Smile Designs is a modern orthodontic practice in Hilo, Hawaii focused on delivering exceptional patient care and creating efficient systems for our growing team. We are looking for a talented independent contractor to help us create a complete digital training video library for our office.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced videographer/video producer who can independently manage the full process of creating professional staff training videos for our orthodontic practice.
This project will include filming procedures, workflows, systems, front office tasks, clinical protocols, and team training content. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a healthcare environment, and able to turn complex processes into clear, engaging training materials.
Responsibilities
- Record high-quality training videos in our orthodontic office
- Plan and organize filming schedules with our team
- Capture both clinical and administrative workflows
- Edit videos into polished, easy-to-follow training modules
- Add professional voice-over narration, captions, graphics, and transitions
- Organize video files and digital training content
- Help develop a consistent format/style for our training library
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while filming in a healthcare setting
Qualifications
- Proven experience with video production and editing
- Strong portfolio of training, educational, or instructional videos
- Experience with voice-over recording and audio editing
- Proficient with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working around dental or medical procedures preferred, but not required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating SOP/training content for businesses
- Experience filming in healthcare, dental, orthodontic, or medical environments
- Ability to assist with scripting and workflow organization
- Knowledge of online training platforms or LMS systems
Project Details
- Independent contractor / freelance position
- On-site filming required in Hilo, Hawaii
- Project-based compensation (hourly or flat-rate proposals accepted)
