Experienced Ophthalmic Technician / Medical Scribe
Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour, based on experience

Advanced Retina is a growing retina specialty practice with offices in Greenfield, Mequon, and Pewaukee, Wisconsin. We are seeking an experienced ophthalmic professional to join our clinical team.
This position is intended for candidates with prior ophthalmology, optometry, or related clinical experience. Relevant backgrounds may include ophthalmic scribe, retina technician, lead ophthalmic technician, ophthalmic photographer, retinal photographer, angiographer, or clinic coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and document patient histories
- Perform visual acuity, intraocular pressure, dilation, and other ophthalmic testing
- Scribe directly with physicians during patient examinations
- Perform OCT, fundus photography, and other retinal imaging
- Assist with fluorescein angiography and other diagnostic testing when trained
- Assist physicians with intravitreal injections and minor procedures
- Help maintain efficient clinic flow and coordinate patient care
- Support and mentor less-experienced technicians as appropriate
- Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
What We’re Looking For
- Prior ophthalmology, optometry, or similar clinical experience
- Retina and/or ophthalmic scribing experience strongly preferred
- Ophthalmic photography or angiography experience is a plus
- Lead technician or clinic coordination experience is a plus
- COA, COT, or COMT certification is a plus
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
- Dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Location
This position requires regular travel between our Greenfield, Mequon, and Pewaukee offices.
