Sign Installer - Experienced Installation & Service Technician
Location: Corporate office Lenexa, servicing the KC Metro area
Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Salary: $32 - $40 per hour (based on experience) + benefits

Heartland Sign– one of the leading sign companies in the Kansas City metropolitan area, is looking for an Experienced Sign Installer.
Qualified candidates should have at least three years of experience in installing and servicing all types of commercial signage.
Our installation and service fleet consists of Altec and Elliott equipment with reach capabilities up to 70’. While our trucks do not require a CDL to operate, a CDL is always a bonus. Applicants must have a clean driving record and capable of carrying a DOT health card.

What You'll Do:
- Safely transport and install interior and exterior illuminated and non-illuminated signs and branding elements.
- Operate and maintain crane trucks, forklifts, aerial lifts, and scissor lifts (OSHA 10/30, and operator certifications preferred).
- Use hand tools and equipment for electrical tasks, LED retrofits, sign installations, plus occasional drilling, welding, concrete work.
- Conduct site surveys and perform service or repair work as needed.
- Follow all company, OSHA, DOT, and site-specific safety procedures during installations.
- Maintain clean company vehicles, complete mileage/fuel logs, and submit accurate timecards.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on quality.
- Capture completion photos and obtain customer sign-off upon job completion.
- Travel as needed, including occasional overnight stays.

- 3 years of experience in the installation and service of all types of commercial signage.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently, take accountability, and maintain schedules
- A team player with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment and processes.
- Mechanically inclined and experienced with tools and power equipment.
- Clean driving record, reliable transportation, and DOT medical card (required).
