American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active IA or compact license and 1-2 years of acute care experience.

Works in the Emergency Room of a 217-licensed-bed regional health center
-
Unit has 17 beds and sees approximately 40 patient visits per day
-
Patient ratio of 1:6
-
Primarily adult and geriatric patient population
-
Uses MediTech EHR system
-
Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
-
Works every other weekend
-
Call coverage required to support 24/7 daily volume needs
-
Active RN license (Iowa or Compact) required
-
Current BLS (AHA), ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
-
1-2 years of RN experience in an acute care facility required
-
Iowa SING background check required, including criminal and child abuse portions with no exceptions
-
All background checks (county and state) must be fully cleared prior to start; instant or statewide searches not accepted
-
Mandatory reporter certification required for both child and adult
-
10-panel drug screening required, including opiates
-
Titers required within the last 12 months for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB
-
Facility offers a wide range of services including ED, Critical Care, Med/Surg, Acute Rehab, OB, Pediatrics, Cath Lab, Diagnostics, Radiology, Wound Care, Pain Clinic, and Sleep Lab

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
