Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Working Supervisor to lead our team at a busy dog boarding and daycare facility. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure the highest standards of animal care, and provide exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities of staff members, including dog handling, feeding, cleaning, and enrichment activities
- Assist with pet check-ins and check-outs, ensuring smooth and efficient processes for clients and their pets
- Assist with training staff on dog handling techniques, animal restraint, and safety protocols
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to management
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility by overseeing sanitation routines and kennel maintenance
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, updating pet owners on their pets’ well-being, and ensuring a positive experience
- Support team members with pet grooming, pet sitting, or veterinary-related tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to heavy lifting, animal handling, and facility operations
Qualifications
- Must Love Dogs!
- Prior experience in dog handling, kennel management, or pet care is required
- Knowledge of dog training and veterinary experience is highly desirable
- Experience working with animals in veterinary technician or assistant roles is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling supplies or assisting with animals
- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and general animal care practices
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a pet care environment is required
- Passion for animals combined with a proactive attitude to ensure safety and well-being at all times
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
