Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Asphalt Foreman to lead and oversee asphalt construction projects from start to finish. This dynamic role involves managing on-site operations, supervising crews, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering quality results on time and within budget. Duties
- Lead and supervise asphalt paving crews, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules.
- Coordinate daily operations on construction sites, including material delivery, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of paving projects.
- Utilize construction management software such as Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and Primavera to plan, schedule, and track project progress.
- Monitor quality control measures to meet industry standards and client specifications; conduct inspections regularly.
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and assist with construction estimating to ensure profitability.
- Enforce OSHA safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on site.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues promptly.
- Conduct site inspections using tools like ohmmeters and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
- Supervise subcontractors and team members, providing guidance on technical tasks such as pipeline installation or heavy civil work.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in asphalt paving or heavy civil construction management with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of construction management software including Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and Primavera.
- Familiarity with contracts, project scheduling, budgeting, and construction estimating processes.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations; knowledge of OSHA standards is essential.
- Skilled in using measurement tools such as ohmmeters for quality assurance purposes.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards.
- Construction site experience involving supervision of diverse crews working on infrastructure projects like pipelines or roadways is preferred. Pay: $28.15 - $45.00 per hour
