Job Purpose:
- The Cook at Bandit Grill is responsible for preparing and cooking meals to the highest standards, ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves multitasking between cooking duties and managing the register, contributing to a seamless kitchen operation and excellent customer service. The cook must be a team player to catering for events at the Arapaho First Community Hall when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cook and prepare meals according to Bandit Grill's recipes and standards.
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions with accuracy.
- Assist the head chef with food prep and cooking on the line, ensuring timely service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management regarding supply needs.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Participate in regular training sessions to improve cooking skills and product knowledge.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Culinary school or relevant certifications are a plus.
Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar cooking role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience assisting in food preparation and cooking on the line.
- Experience handling cash transactions and operating a register.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in cooking techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to multitask effectively, managing both cooking duties and register operations.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate efficiently with the head chef and team members.
