SUMMARY
Position selling outdoor recreational items including but not limited to: outdoor clothing (ski and snowboard), accessories (goggles, bear spray), skis, snowboards and bikes to the public. Obtaining payment for goods sold. Working cash register and balancing daily receipts.
A key part of every employee's job is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK SCHEDULE
Due to the nature of the recreation industry, we are in operation seven days a week.
This includes weekends and holidays and there is no guarantee of hours. Flexible working hours may be
required
based on the business levels.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Knowledgeable and skillful at running a cash register
- Previous cash handling experience and guest service required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
