Production Compounder Operator
Location: Largo, FL
Pay Rate: $18.61/hr W2
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Duration: 3–6 month contract
Job Summary:
Responsible for operating and maintaining compounder and related production equipment, preparing resin batches, packaging finished products, troubleshooting equipment, and completing production documentation while following all safety and quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare resin batches using formulations, mix sheets, and pre-blend materials.
- Operate 40mm/60mm compounder lines, ribbon blenders, drum tumblers, pelletizers, dryers, and water systems.
- Perform equipment start-up, shutdown, maintenance, screen changes, and cleaning.
- Weigh, package, label, and inspect finished products according to work orders.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform production maintenance as needed.
- Collect samples and mold ASTM slabs for quality testing.
- Enter production data into the CMPC system and accurately complete work orders, time sheets, stock movement, and scrap documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
- Communicate production and equipment status across shifts and assist with training other employees.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and complete production documentation accurately.
- Injection molding, compounder, or related manufacturing equipment experience preferred.
- Must obtain forklift certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and work in a loud production environment with required PPE.
