Overview
Shannon Hardware is seeking a dependable and motivated Driver/Warehouse Associate to join our Broussard team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our customers receive their orders safely, accurately, and on time while supporting the day-to-day operations of our warehouse.
As a Driver/Warehouse Associate, you'll split your time between making deliveries and assisting with warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, customer-focused, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Driving Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company delivery vehicle to transport products to customer locations throughout South Louisiana.
- Load, unload, and properly secure products on delivery trucks to ensure safe transportation.
- Verify orders before delivery to ensure accuracy.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service during deliveries.
Warehouse Responsibilities
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks (forklift certification is preferred but not required).
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage customer orders.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify products against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Organize and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to maintain inventory accuracy and track orders.
- Assist with inventory replenishment and general warehouse duties.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work closely with warehouse, sales, and delivery teams to meet daily operational goals.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely load, unload, and secure materials for transport.
- Forklift experience preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Positive attitude, dependable attendance, and strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.
