Job Purpose
The Annual Giving Manager plays a critical role in advancing the mission of Catholic Charities of Philadelphia (CCoP) by developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive annual giving program that supports the organization’s philanthropic goals.
Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, this position is responsible for the planning, execution, and evaluation of multi-channel fundraising campaigns designed to acquire, retain, and grow individual donor support. The Annual Giving Manager collaborates closely with internal teams to align fundraising strategies with organizational priorities and strengthen donor engagement across the Greater Philadelphia region.
This position contributes to expanding philanthropic support, increasing donor participation, and fostering a culture of stewardship rooted in the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
Duties and Responsibilities
Annual Giving Program Management

Plan, execute, and evaluate a comprehensive annual giving program, including direct mail, email, digital campaigns, and other multi-channel fundraising initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategies to acquire, retain, and upgrade individual donors, with a focus on increasing annual fund revenue and participation.

Monitor campaign performance and analyze fundraising data to assess effectiveness, identify trends, and inform future strategies.
- Maintain accurate and complete donor records within the donor database, ensuring data integrity and compliance with organizational standards.
- Support the development and promotion of planned giving marketing initiatives in collaboration with the Philanthropy team.
Donor Engagement and Stewardship

Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors through thoughtful communication, recognition, and engagement strategies.
- Develop and execute targeted donor communications to enhance engagement and encourage continued philanthropic support.

Collaborate with Philanthropy and Marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and effective donor outreach across all channels.
- Identify opportunities to highlight donor impact and strengthen connections to the mission of Catholic Charities.
Collaboration and Organizational Alignment

Partner with program leadership and internal departments to align fundraising initiatives with organizational priorities and programmatic needs.
- Contribute to the development of integrated fundraising and communication strategies that enhance overall philanthropic outcomes.

Provide regular reports and updates to the Director of Philanthropy on campaign performance, donor trends, and revenue progress.
Organizational Responsibilities

Treat all colleagues, donors, program participants, and community partners with dignity and respect.
- Attend meetings, trainings, and organizational events as required to support collaboration and professional development.
- Travel locally throughout the Greater Philadelphia region as needed to support donor engagement and fundraising efforts.

Qualifications
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in annual giving, fundraising, marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working in a nonprofit or faith-based organization is preferred.

Strong commitment to the mission and values of Catholic Charities of Philadelphia and an understanding of Catholic social teaching.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling donor messaging.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze data and use insights to inform fundraising strategies and decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across teams and departments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with fundraising CRM systems such as Raiser’s Edge preferred.
- Sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to manage confidential donor information with discretion.
Working Conditions

Primarily office-based with regular local travel for donor meetings, program visits, and events.

Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required to support fundraising activities and organizational needs.

Requires the ability to sit, stand, and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
