The Ravenna School District is seeking interested and qualified candidates to teach ELL/English as a Second Language for Elementary through High School aged students.
Position Type: Part-time English Language Learner (ELL/ESL) Tutor
Hours: Approximately. 20-25 hours per week
Pay Rate: $30.15/hour
Mileage: Reimbursement based upon IRS rate
Sick Leave: 1.25 days/month
Personal Leave: None

The ESL/ELL Tutor assignment includes:

Direct instruction with students whose English is limited
-
Consult and collaboration with teachers to support the classroom instruction

Ability to work cooperatively in multiple school buildings

Administration of the OELPS -Ohio's English language screening tools (if needed)

Administration of the OELPA- Ohio's English Language Proficiency Assessment (Spring)

Communication with parents/guardians about the student's progress working with the teachers and district supervisor.

Criminal background check

Substitute teaching license through the Ohio Department of Education

Bachelor's Degree

TESL experience and working with K-12 student experience preferred.
