Overview
Join our dynamic team at Oncall Security Services as an On-Call Unarmed Security Guard and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across various client sites. This position is ideal for individuals seeking flexible, as-needed assignments while gaining hands-on experience in security operations.
As an on-call officer, you will be deployed to different locations based on operational needs, including short-term assignments, emergency coverage, and special events. Your proactive presence and strong observation skills will help prevent incidents, respond effectively to emergencies, and uphold the integrity of each site.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned premises to identify potential security risks or safety hazards
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the property
- Control access points by verifying identification and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, and contractors
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergency situations with professionalism
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations
- Support loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and reporting concerns
- Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency responders when required
Requirements
- Valid BSIS Guard Card (Required)
Skills & Qualifications (Preferred, Not Required)
- Basic knowledge of security operations or surveillance systems (CCTV)
- Strong communication and professionalism when interacting with the public
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
- Prior experience in security or related fields is a plus
