Senior Building Maintenance & Facilities Technician
Brooklyn, NY 11232 | In Person
$26.00 – $27.00/hr + overtime | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 6AM–2:30PM
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive, routine, and corrective maintenance across electrical, plumbing,
- HVAC, carpentry, flooring, painting, and locksmith tasks
- Manage and close work orders through the facility's work order management system
- Perform custodial duties: sweeping, mopping, floor stripping, waxing, power washing
- Support event setups, including furniture movement and freight elevator operation
- Complete landscaping tasks: weeding, mulching, trimming, and cleaning tree beds
- Escort contractors and vendors on-site; coordinate with the Senior Building Manager
- Ensure OSHA compliance and adherence to health and safety protocols
- Assist with security vendors and monitor building inventory
What You Bring
Required:
- 3+ years of hands-on building/facilities maintenance experience
- Technical knowledge across general building repairs (HVAC experience a plus)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
- Strong communication and flexibility across task assignments
Preferred (a plus):
- OSHA certification
- HVAC / Refrigeration certification
- FDNY license(s)
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Pay: $26.00 - $27.00 per hour
