Nursing Assistant: 2H ICU, CVICU
Part Time Dayshift: 2 12hr shifts/week
Unit Description:
2H ICU is a 12-bed cardiovascular & thoracic ICU. This unit services post-op cardiac surgery patients, cardiac intervention, unstable post-op patients requiring direct ICU admission and complex care ICU patients.
Shift: Part-Time, Dayshift (Two 12hr Shifts Per Week)
Job Description:
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, the Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Tech (PCT/HUC):
- provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures
- routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification (SRNA, CNA) required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation consistent with level of education.
- Basic Life Support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don’t have it already.
