American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Long Term Care unit requiring WI or compact RN licensure and at least 1 year of elderly care experience.
-
Work in a 70-bed nursing home (majority private rooms) attached to a hospital, post-acute care setting
-
LTC/SNF unit caring for dementia, frail, elderly, and rehabilitation patients
-
RN to patient ratio of 1:20, LPN 1:20, CNA 1:8
-
Perform clinical skills including IV therapy, titratable drips, catheters, and ostomy care
-
Day shift, 12-hour blocks, scheduled 8-week assignment
-
Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
-
Floating required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
DON, Charge Nurse, and House Supervisor support available
-
Physician availability after hours
-
Respiratory Therapy on-site 24/7
-
On-site pharmacy with medication dispensing system
-
Interdisciplinary team includes Therapy, Administration, Social Work, Activities, Dietary, and Housekeeping
-
Uses an EMR charting system (Cerner, transitioning to Epic)

Active WI or compact RN license required
-
Current BLS (AHA) certification required
-
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
-
Elderly care experience required
-
2 professional references required, including 1 from a supervisor and 1 from a peer or supervisor

Responsibilities include charting, assessments, charge duties, and medication administration
-
Must be available for at least half of the holidays during the assignment
-
Solid color scrubs required, clean and professional appearance expected

Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
-
Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and receive a reduced pay rate
-
Former facility employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to consideration
