Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender at Baja Sharkeez, you will play a pivotal role in crafting exceptional cocktails, providing top-notch customer service, and contributing to the lively atmosphere of our establishment, particularly during our high-volume nightlife events. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the service industry, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys connecting with guests during energetic nightlife experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a diverse range of cocktails, beers, wines, and other beverages with precision and flair, especially during high-volume nightlife events.
- Interact warmly and professionally with guests, taking orders, making recommendations, and ensuring an outstanding dining experience amidst the energetic atmosphere.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization behind the bar, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure efficient service and smooth operations during busy nightlife hours.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, including managing tabs and processing payments efficiently in the fast-paced nightlife environment.
- Assist in promoting and marketing special events, themed nights, and promotions through engaging with guests and encouraging participation.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a bartender in a high-volume restaurant or bar setting is preferred, with specific experience in handling nightlife events being highly advantageous.
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beers, and wines, with a passion for mixology and beverage craftsmanship.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing demeanor, able to thrive in an energetic nightlife environment.
- Ability to multitask effectively and maintain composure under pressure, ensuring exceptional service during peak nightlife hours.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service, even in the midst of bustling nightlife activities.
- Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid food handler's card and alcohol service permit (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
