Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant/ Accessioneer to join our team. The ideal candidate will support laboratory operations by performing a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth functioning of laboratory processes. This role involves working with biological specimens and maintaining accurate records. The Laboratory Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our research and diagnostic efforts.
Duties
- Document laboratory results accurately in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) SUCH AS: SCHUYLAB to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to laboratory procedures and equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to adhere to health regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of physiology is advantageous for understanding specimen processing and testing procedures
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
