We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Parts Associate to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist customers in locating and selecting parts and accessories, providing knowledgeable guidance on product features and compatibility.
- Manage inventory levels through accurate stock control, order fulfillment, and stock replenishment using inventory management systems such as CMMS or POS software.
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cashiering, cash handling, and POS operations, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain organized shelving and stock areas, ensuring products are properly stocked, labeled, and accessible for customers and staff.
- Support equipment maintenance and repair activities by providing the correct parts and ensuring timely delivery to technicians or customers.
- Utilize equipment diagnostics knowledge to assist with troubleshooting parts-related issues when necessary.
- Engage in effective communication with team members and customers, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Collaborate with sales management to promote products through marketing initiatives or retail sales strategies.
- Perform inventory control tasks such as cycle counts, stock audits, and reporting discrepancies to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Support maintenance of the store environment by adhering to safety standards and organizational procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in equipment repair, automotive repair, dealership parts department, or retail sales is preferred.
- Knowledge of diagnostics, maintenance, service, and repair processes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (CMMS), POS systems, Microsoft Excel, and retail math is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills—bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus—and phone etiquette for effective customer interactions.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while demonstrating trustworthiness in cash handling responsibilities.
- Experience with stocking, order fulfillment, inventory control, and retail sales strategies is beneficial.
- Dealership experience or background in marketing can be an asset.
- A proactive attitude with strong negotiation skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
