Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable CDL B licensed driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, and flatbeds, with a Moffitt to deliver and collect materials efficiently and safely. Your expertise in commercial driving combined with mechanical knowledge will ensure smooth operations across multiple job sites. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of trucks such as tractor-trailers, and flatbeds with a Moffitt to transport goods and materials.
- Load and unload cargo accurately using manual handling techniques or mechanical equipment as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Drive in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies while maintaining a clean driving record.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks and secure loads properly to prevent shifting during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL B license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating heavy trucks such as front loaders, rear loaders, roll-offs, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or flatbeds.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshooting.
- Strong driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance.
- Ability to lift heavy loads manually or with mechanical assistance regularly.
- Experience in delivery driving or logistics roles preferred.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
