Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, account reconciliations, and daily accounting operations.
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, cash flow analyses, and ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, administer employee benefits and 401(k) plans, including Form 5500 filings and discrimination testing.
- Coordinate external audits, maintain internal financial controls, and support continuous improvement of financial processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 10+ years of accounting experience with expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, inventory accounting, tax compliance, and account reconciliation.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and proficiency with ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- CPA or equivalent professional accounting certification.
- Experience in food distribution, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, or a related industry.
