POSITION SUMMARY: Unit Manager RN, Under the direction of the Director of Nursing and in collaboration with all department heads, is responsible for the general management of either the facility LTC or STC operation which includes providing optimal care, communicating the facility's policies and ensuring the general order, safety and cleanliness of the facility.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education / Experience:
· Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Connecticut.
- Minimum of three years of additional education or experience in geriatric nursing or rehabilitation. Requires at least one year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Knowledge of nursing theory and practice including the administration of medications.
- IV-line management certification preferred
- CPR certified.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English; ability to follow oral and written instructions. Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent knowledge of word processing (including Microsoft Office) and other office equipment.
- Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position assignment
