The Quality Inspector works in conjunction with other QA personnel to support production and test manufactured goods. The Quality Inspector will use basic mechanical inspection tools and gauges to ensure a successful product line. Responsibilities not limited to:
1. Assurance of material criteria establishment
- Inspects incoming raw materials and components for conformance verification of traceability to existing inspection plans, customer/VMC drawings, sales and purchase orders
- Initiate and manage the MRB (Material Review Board) process
2. In Process Product Inspection
- Inspects the integrity of the product to the order with respect to dimensions, correct components, color, etc.
- Randomly samples the ‘in process product’ to ensure specifications and dimensional checks
- Identifies manufactured products that do not meet quality specifications
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste
3. Final Product Inspection
- Ensures final product meets the specific customer order
- Reviews the final sign off on the traveler or work order to release the product to shipping.
- Collects quality data for accept and reject rates in all areas
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
- Working knowledge of calibration of gauges and ability to use calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and apply knowledge to inspection of products
- Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 symbology

Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 2-3 years of experience in a mechanical inspection environment
- Experience with ISO 9001 a plus
