Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership for the <PERSON> program, setting strategic goals aligned with organizational mission and community needs
- Oversee daily operations, including classroom management, activity planning, and staff supervision to ensure a safe and stimulating environment
- Implement best practices in behavior management, childhood development, and special education to support diverse learner needs
- Coordinate with educators, counselors, coaches, and volunteers to deliver comprehensive programs that include tutoring, sports coaching, theater arts, Christian counseling, and childcare services
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols such as first aid procedures and child protection policies
- Foster strong relationships with families by communicating program updates, addressing concerns, and encouraging active participation
- Manage staff recruitment, training in early childhood education techniques, and ongoing professional development initiatives
Qualifications
- Proven experience in classroom management, early childhood education or related fields such as daycare or camp supervision
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds
- Certification or training in first aid and child safety protocols required
- Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive education settings preferred
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and promote a collaborative environment
- Background in Christian counseling or similar supportive services is a plus
