Key qualifications:
- Experience as a Behavior Specialist, Paraprofessional, or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
- Demonstrated understanding of applied behavior analysis principles
- Familiarity with behavior intervention plans and positive behavioral supports
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in a school setting
- Relevant certifications or credentials preferred, such as RBT or equivalent
- Prior experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or therapeutic setting is highly valued
What you’ll do:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans in classroom and small group settings
- Collect data and monitor student progress on targeted goals
- Provide direct, hands-on support to students with behavioral or social-emotional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and administrators to support student success
- Assist with crisis prevention and de-escalation strategies, when necessary
- Support the creation of a positive, inclusive, and safe school environment
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and ongoing training as required
