Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to lead our company's efforts in maintaining a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in occupational health, safety regulations, and environmental management within manufacturing settings. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive EHS policies and procedures aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and prepare detailed report writing to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate and deliver training & development programs on safety protocols, OSHA compliance, first aid, CPR, and workers' compensation law.
- Manage workers' compensation claims process in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Ensure occupational health standards are maintained by monitoring exposure levels and implementing control measures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of safety records, inspection reports, training logs, and compliance reports.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies regarding environmental and occupational health issues.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness through communication campaigns and employee engagement initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and occupational health practices.
- Certification or training in first aid, CPR, OSHA compliance, or related safety disciplines is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law and experience managing related claims processes.
- Strong report writing skills with the ability to analyze data for root cause analysis.
- Excellent training & development skills to educate employees on safety best practices.
- Ability to conduct thorough investigations into incidents or hazards using root cause analysis techniques.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and with external agencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field preferred; relevant work experience is essential. Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
