About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a self-sufficient, highly organized Paint Shop Project Manager to lead critical capital infrastructure projects within our automotive manufacturing facility. In this role, you will drive manufacturing capacity expansion projects from kickoff through execution. Your primary focus will center on large-scale paint shop upgrades, including wastewater treatment facility enhancements and primer oven extensions.
What You'll Do:

Project Execution: Lead end-to-end management of multi-million-dollar capital expenditure (CapEx) facility and infrastructure projects within the paint shop

Paint Shop Upgrades: Oversee technical design, vendor coordination, and installation timelines for wastewater treatment systems and primer oven extensions

Timeline & Budget Management: Maintain rigorous project schedules to ensure zero downtime to existing production lines, tracking milestones, risks, and budget variances

Vendor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external engineering firms, specialized equipment contractors, and internal maintenance teams

Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with plant leadership, engineering teams, and environmental safety officers to ensure strict compliance with automotive industry standards
What We're Looking For:

Education: B. S. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field (equivalent experience considered)

Experience: 5+ years of dedicated project management experience within a heavy manufacturing environment (Automotive industry preferred)

Technical Domain: Proven track record managing industrial equipment installations, facility expansions, or infrastructure upgrades

Soft Skills: Highly autonomous and self-sufficient professional who thrives with minimal oversight in a fast-paced plant setting
Preferred Qualifications:

Paint Shop Expertise: Direct experience managing automotive paint shop projects, specialized ovens, conveyor systems, or chemical wastewater treatment plants
