JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for coordinating, supervising events, activities, programs and participants in the building; cleaning the building and may be required to secure building at closing time.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinates community center activity schedules and monitors participants in activities. Provides support as needed for events: i.e. event set up, signing in activity participants. Performs daily janitorial duties. Recruits’ community partners for services to be provided in our centers. Perform security check and walk through of Center daily prior to closing. Reports any serious issues, incidents or needs to supervisor. Writes daily report /correspondence to Supervisor in case of emergencies or serious incidents and all other duties as assigned.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Must present a professional image in conduct, attitude, and attire.
- Satisfactory completion of mandatory training.
- Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires experience in coordinating programs, supervising activities, basic facilities management. Incumbent must be dependable and responsible. Some computer skills are required.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong commitment in maintaining confidentiality.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format.

- Physical examination record or pass physical examination by a CAO physician
- Valid NYS Driver’s License and proof of motor vehicle insurance coverage

o CAO Employment application
o NYS SCR Clearance Form with acceptable clearance
o Criminal Record Certification and free of criminal convictions of crimes against children (misdemeanor or felony)
o Fingerprinting required.
o Release for Reference Checks
