Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and various dental procedures. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices.
Duties
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry.
- Utilize Eaglesoft and Dentrix software for patient documentation and record management.
- Perform vital signs checks and assist with medical imaging as required.
- Ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic.
- Maintain knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients.
- Review medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options in general dentistry.
- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and improve clinic operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting, with familiarity in both general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred.
- Proficiency in EMR systems, particularly Eaglesoft and Dentrix.
- Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to oral health.
- Ability to perform patient assessments effectively while demonstrating excellent patient care skills.
- Knowledge of dental coding is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with patients and team members.
