Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, assess their needs, and provide personalized product recommendations based on preferences and experience levels
- Educate customers about product effects, consumption methods, and dosage guidelines through engaging product demos and clear communication
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure products are stocked neatly on shelves to maximize sales opportunities
- Upsell complementary products and promote ongoing promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales volume
- Conduct product demos when appropriate, sharing detailed information about new or featured items to educate customers effectively
- Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves regularly, recording stock movements, and assisting with inventory audits
- Uphold phone etiquette standards when handling inquiries or taking orders remotely, ensuring professional and friendly interactions at all times
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience, preferably within a grocery store or similar retail environment
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math to handle transactions accurately
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities that support team collaboration and customer service excellence
- Knowledge of cannabis products, industry regulations, and responsible consumption practices is preferred but not required—training will be provided
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, setting up displays, and standing for extended periods
- Excellent phone etiquette skills for remote inquiries or customer follow-up calls
