Position Summary
Cytherian, Inc. is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Operations Manager to lead field teams and oversee the successful delivery of structured cabling and low voltage projects. This role is responsible for team leadership, budget management, project execution, and serving as the primary customer point of contact, ensuring every project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and develop a field team of 15+ low voltage technicians and installers across multiple active job sites.
- Oversee project execution from kickoff through closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to BICSI/industry standards.
- Develop, manage, and report on project budgets, tracking labor, material, and equipment costs against forecasts; identify and resolve cost overruns proactively.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, managing expectations, communicating progress, and resolving issues quickly and professionally.
- Review project scope, drawings, and specifications to plan crew assignments, material procurement, and project timelines.
- Conduct and oversee cable testing, certification, and troubleshooting using Fluke testing equipment, ensuring all installations meet certification standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and vendors to ensure proper staffing, material availability, and subcontractor performance.
- Enforce safety protocols and company policies on all job sites, conducting regular site visits and inspections.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members, supporting their technical growth and BICSI certification progress.
- Prepare and present project status reports, budget updates, and performance metrics to senior leadership.
- Manage change orders, punch lists, and project documentation to ensure accurate and timely closeout.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Low Voltage Operations Manager position, we require the following:
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in the low voltage / structured cabling industry, including direct field and project leadership experience.
- Active BICSI certification(s) required (e.g., RCDD, Installer 2/Technician, or equivalent); additional certifications a plus.
- Proven experience managing teams of 15 or more field personnel across multiple projects or job sites simultaneously.
- Associate degree required; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, including cost tracking, forecasting, and variance reporting.
- Hands-on proficiency with Fluke testing and certification equipment for copper and fiber cabling systems.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities concurrently.
- Excellent customer interaction and relationship management skills; comfortable serving as the primary client liaison.
- Strong working knowledge of low voltage systems, including structured cabling, fiber optics, CCTV, access control, and related infrastructure.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to clients, crews, and leadership.
- Proficient with standard computer programs (Microsoft Office/Excel) and project management or scheduling software.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
- Ability to work occasional nights/weekends based on project needs.
- Must be 18 years of age or older and able to pass a background check.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
