Security Savings Bank is looking for a Full-Time Branch Manager to join our team at our George, IA location. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving customer satisfaction while enjoying opportunities for growth within our company. Attention to detail with the ability to handle a high volume of transactions is important. Some of the essential functions and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Supervise Frontline staff
- Responsible for scheduling daily activities/responsibilities for CSRs, according to established policies and procedures. Maintaining a flexible schedule that could possibly involve Saturday hours
- Through PayChex, monitor time card entries and PTO requests, approving those hours and notifying HR when completed on the day of payroll.
- Work with Market President on annual staff reviews, normally completed in October/November
- Work with HR department to interview candidates and make hiring recommendations to the Market President
- Together with the Market President, review overdrawn accounts. Branch Manager will update Precision and notify Larchwood Proof when decisions are completed. Larchwood Proof will be back-up if Branch Manager is unavailable.
- If assigned, follow procedures to complete all Levies and Garnishments that are received.
- Monitor Branch Security procedures, making sure they are being followed, including dual control.
- Working together with the Branch Security Officer, test alarm systems and review security procedures, making sure they are being followed daily. Review with staff on an annual basis and send required documentation to Sr V.P. of Operations, as requested.
- Assist CSRs/Tellers with ATM, ATM Balancing, Night Drop and mail deposits, as needed.
- Assist with Vault procedures, making sure CSRs are following dual control.
- Delegate additional duties to frontline staff, including monitoring of teller supplies and building supplies.
- Delegate frontline staff to review various reports on a daily/weekly basis.
- Keep frontline staff up to date on procedure and product changes.
- Inform staff of upcoming meetings and training
- Provide training, coaching, development and motivation for frontline staff. Monitor staff workload and distribute evenly to other frontline staff, if needed.
- Monitor outside vendors entering the bank, ensuring that they provide required IDs and sign in prior to completing any maintenance in the building.
- Collaborate with Market President to develop business plans, financial objectives and goals for the branch.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to help promote the bank’s image through community involvement and charitable contributions.
- Review and update any product brochures and frontline tickets, removing all items that may be outdated. Will utilize the frontline retention schedule to remove and destroy any items that are outdated.
Education:
- Bachleor degree preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of four years experience in banking or financial services (preferred)
- Minimum of four years experience in customer service (preferred)
