This position is one of a complement of four part-time cashiers who perform cashiering services for the auction and retail sale of surplus government assets. The selected candidate will reconcile and balance an assigned cash drawer, as well as prepare and maintain accurate and complete records and reports of invoices and receipts processed for all forms of acceptable payment (i.e., U.S. currency, cashier’s checks, and credit/debit cards). Additional responsibilities include assisting full-time staff with the preparation of bank deposits, operating a computerized cash register and bar-code scanner, and using machinery/equipment to verify and validate currency. The cashier must adhere to policies and procedures while working under the supervision of full-time staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following:
- Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of one (1) year of experience working as a cashier or teller.

Working with large transactions in a fast-paced setting using a computerized system.
