Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Montessori Teacher specializing in Toddler education to join our dynamic early childhood education team. Duties
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate Montessori-based lesson plans focused on toddler care, literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills.
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote exploration, independence, and positive behavior management strategies aligned with Montessori philosophy.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that supports the emotional and physical well-being of young children.
- Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address individual needs related to special education or early intervention, and support child welfare initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom staff to ensure effective classroom management and adherence to educational standards.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of children’s progress using standardized testing methods when appropriate and adapt lesson plans accordingly.
- Maintain detailed records of classroom activities, child development milestones, and behavioral observations to inform instruction and parent communication.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and childcare policies across all classroom operations.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and Montessori pedagogy specific to toddlers.
- Demonstrated success in curriculum development across multiple domains such as literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Prior classroom management experience in private schools or daycare centers is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and tools for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Experience utilizing standardized testing tools for assessment purposes is a plus.
- AMS Certification or willingness to obtain the certification upon hire.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
