Summary: Responsible for preparing salads and sandwiches for the kitchens by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the high-quality preparation of food in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner.*
Responsible for checking pre-tags against daily menus and prep-sheets for accuracy.*
Verifies all food items quality and freshness for daily food prep.*
Follows menus, recipes, portion controls and presentation of food according to CKC standards and procedures.*
Demonstrates skill, knowledge, and understanding to properly use and maintain all equipment related to prep line station.*
Reports to Procurement Manager of any food shortages in a timely manner.*
Use various preparatory utensils to include electric choppers, mixers and blenders.*
Receive and stock freezers, refrigerators and store room with foods and food products.*
Prepare and carry food trays to appropriate area as needed.*
Ensure ingredients are properly stored at the appropriate temperature at all times.*
Maintain and ensure designated work station is stocked with fresh, clean foods in accordance with state health and safety guidelines.*
Read and fill orders following portion and quality control standards of the menu.*
Communicate any health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to management.*
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Prior work related experience helpful.
