Job Summary
Rently is seeking a high-energy Accounting Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our day-to-day transactional accounting functions. This role is the primary owner of Accounts Receivable (AR), Collections, Accounts Payable (AP), and Expense Reporting.
Required Focus: The successful candidate must demonstrate a high level of expertise in AR management and collections. We are looking for a leader who can ensure accuracy and timeliness while building strong cross-functional relationships.
Core Responsibilities
- Accounts Receivable (AR) & Collections (Critical Requirement):
- Manage the complete AR cycle, including high-volume invoicing and customer account reconciliations.
- Proactive Collections: Monitor aging reports and proactively manage past-due balances.
- Strategy: Establish and enforce credit policies and customer payment terms in coordination with Sales and leadership.
- KPI Reporting: Prepare and report on critical AR metrics, including DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), aging buckets, and bad debt reserves.
- Accounts Payable (AP):
- Oversee end-to-end AP processes, including invoice coding, approval routing, and timely payment disbursement (ACH, wire, and check).
- Maintain vendor master data and enforce policies to ensure strong internal controls.
- Cash Application:
- Oversee daily cash application to ensure all incoming payments are posted accurately.
- Reconcile daily bank deposits and receipts to the general ledger.
- Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and speed up the workflow.
- Expense Reporting:
- Administer the company’s expense management platform and enforce T&E policy compliance.
- Analyze expense trends and provide reporting to Finance leadership.
- Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the AR, AP, Cash, and Billing staff.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
Required Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience) is required.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in AR and Collections is a must.
- ERP Experience: Proficiency with NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is required.
- Preferred Tools: Familiarity with expense tools like Concur, Expensify, or Certify is strongly preferred.
- Advanced Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

For applicants located in California, the salary range for this full-time role is expected to be $90,000 - $100,000 per year. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Rently reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications, and that the expected salary range may be different for candidates located outside of California.
