Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. Responsibilities
- Lead the administration and configuration of Linux operating systems, ensuring high availability and security across all environments.
- Design and implement robust system architectures utilizing tools such as VMware, Kubernetes, and AWS to support scalable IT infrastructure.
- Manage storage solutions with RAID controllers and optimize data integrity using NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
- Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, and Shell Scripting to streamline system management tasks within CI/CD pipelines.
- Oversee network security measures including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and information security protocols to safeguard enterprise data.
- Collaborate on solution architecture for service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices deployments utilizing RESTful APIs and container orchestration platforms.
- Monitor system performance metrics using tools like Jenkins and Git to ensure seamless operation and rapid incident response.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident reports in accordance with SDLC best practices.
Experience
- Extensive experience in Linux system administration within enterprise environments, with a strong understanding of UNIX and Windows operating systems.
- Proven expertise in virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V (Azure).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS and Azure for deploying scalable applications.
- Deep knowledge of system design principles involving load balancing, system architecture, and solution architecture frameworks.
- Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server; experience with PL/SQL is a plus.
- Strong background in scripting languages including Bash (Unix shell), Python, PowerShell, along with experience in DevOps practices like CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of network protocols such as RESTful API development, DNS management, DHCP configuration, TCP/IP networking, VPN setup, and firewall management.

Pay: $145,000.00 - $205,000.00 per year
