Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Helper to join our distribution center team. This role involves supporting various warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and equipment operation. The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience and possess the necessary skills to handle heavy materials safely and efficiently. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management systems and heavy equipment operation within a dynamic logistics environment. You are allowed up to 40 hours per week in this role and hours will be awarded based on work ability.
Responsibilities
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counting and inventory control using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of materials during transportation within the warehouse.
- Support order picking, packing, shipping, and receiving processes to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain organized storage areas by stocking shelves and managing inventory locations effectively.
- Assist in packaging products securely for shipment while adhering to quality standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Follow safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
- Understanding of warehouse distribution processes, shipping & receiving procedures, and order fulfillment.
- Experience with warehouse supervision or management systems is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills for stocking, order picking & packing, and inventory control tasks. This Warehouse Helper position is integral to maintaining smooth warehouse operations through efficient handling of materials and equipment while ensuring safety standards are met at all times.
Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
