Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, providing personalized recommendations based on their preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures and hygiene standards at all times.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, process payments efficiently, and manage tabs responsibly.
- Follow food safety management protocols during food handling, including serving snacks or light bites when applicable, and ensure proper food handling procedures are maintained.
- Assist with food preparation or catering events as needed, including banquet service or special functions requiring culinary experience.
- Comply with manual handling guidelines when lifting or moving supplies, bottles, or equipment to prevent workplace injuries.
- Uphold dietary and allergy considerations by understanding dietary aide experience and catering requirements for diverse guest needs.
Skills
- Proven experience in fine dining environments or hospitality settings with a strong focus on customer service excellence.
- Knowledge of wine varieties, wine knowledge certifications preferred, along with familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Experience with food handling, food safety standards, and food preparation techniques within the food industry.
- Ability to operate POS systems efficiently while managing weight handling in the workplace safely.
- Previous banquet experience or catering background is advantageous for managing large groups or special events.
- Barista experience or culinary experience is a plus for creating specialty drinks or assisting in kitchen operations.
- Strong understanding of food safety management practices and adherence to health regulations to ensure guest safety at all times.
