Overview
Join our dynamic Swim & Gym Facility as a Lifeguard / Front Desk Associate, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere of our aquatic and fitness environment. This energetic position combines vigilant lifeguarding with friendly guest service, creating a positive experience for all visitors. You will be the first point of contact for guests and responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and enjoyable space for everyone.
Duties
- Monitor pool areas continuously to ensure swimmer safety, enforcing rules and responding swiftly to emergencies with first aid and CPR when needed
- Conduct regular pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, skimming debris, and checking water chemistry to maintain optimal conditions
- Provide exceptional guest services by greeting visitors, answering questions, and assisting with check-ins at the front desk
- Perform pool cleaning duties including vacuuming, scrubbing tiles, and maintaining overall cleanliness of the pool deck and surrounding areas
- Manage front desk operations by handling memberships, reservations, and payments efficiently and professionally
- Conduct safety inspections of pool equipment and notify management of any repairs or hazards
- Support emergency procedures by communicating effectively with emergency responders and completing incident reports accurately
Experience
- Previous lifeguard experience is required, with demonstrated ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Certified in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid; additional certifications in AED (Automated External Defibrillator) are a plus
- Experience with pool maintenance or cleaning is preferred; familiarity with basic pool chemistry is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for pool equipment or cleaning supplies
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor that enhances visitor satisfaction
- Knowledge of swimming techniques and safety protocols to ensure swimmer well-being at all times
