IT Support Technician
This position a great role for an individual who is energized by working with and supporting others hands-on while taking the time to “make things better”. The position will report to the Manager of Infrastructure, supporting end-users and administering IT operations. This role will have direct interaction across the company with all staff including IT staff, executives , and vendors so excellent communication skills and being comfortable working with others is a must.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing IT team in CNY. The IT Support Associate spends their day fielding incoming user tickets and requests from staff, often connecting users with outsourced and external support resources or providing direct first-line support. Troubleshooting experience is required to visualize and understand reported technical issues. The role also administers the purchasing. deployment, and tracking of IT assets, onboards new users, and provides assistance to operations. The successful IT Support Associate II will be customer focused and motivated by team success. The successful candidate will be innovative, energetic, and able to adapt to new loosely defined processes and procedures quickly while dealing with enduser requests. The successful candidate will also be committed, flexible, and demonstrate the ability to maintain high levels of productivity while maintaining quality support.
Experience:
- Provide basic technical support
- Research, resolve, and respond to inquiries received in a timely manner, in accordance with organizational standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot end user computing problems including analyzing the problem, identifying the appropriate resources, testing proposed fixes and following up to ensure the problem has been resolved.
- Create and submit call logs/tickets documenting customer interactions that are accurate, thorough, and timely.
- Informs customer of needed repairs and answers basic questions. Ensures that customer understands and is satisfied with work completed.
- Acquire and maintain current knowledge of relevant policies in order to provide technically accurate solutions to users.
- Assist with activities to triage and escalate any system or network outage to reduce downtime.

- This position will start part time and could move to full time
· A+, Network +, or other IT industry standard certifications.
· Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems.
· Experience maintaining and troubleshooting thin clients, PCs, scanners, and portable handheld terminals.
· Ability to prioritize work based on department and production objectives
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work, prioritize and make decisions independently in a fast-paced production environment.
Location: Onsite at one of our locations. The successful candidate must live within 30 miles of Syracuse, NY
Other Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
3+ year of practice in the set up and installation of computer and networking equipment.
3+ year of more of experience in Microsoft Office applications and Windows Operating Systems
Ability to move up to 49lbs as well as stand and walk for 1 hours at a time with or without reasonable accommodation.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
