Position Overview
We're looking for a dependable and skilled Steel Fabricator / Welder to join our growing fabrication team.
This is a full-time, hands-on position where you'll fabricate, modify, and repair steel shipping containers for commercial, industrial, and residential customers. You'll work with structural steel, fabrication equipment, and custom projects that require attention to detail, problem-solving, and quality craftsmanship.

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on structural steel and shipping containers
- Fabricate, modify, and repair steel shipping containers
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
- Measure, lay out, cut, fit, and assemble steel components
- Operate fabrication equipment, including welders, plasma cutters, grinders, saws, drills, and other shop tools
- Grind, clean, and prepare welds for painting and finishing
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow company safety procedures
- Assist with additional fabrication projects and shop tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
- Previous MIG welding and steel fabrication experience
- Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
- Ability to fabricate with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical work throughout the day
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Structural steel fabrication
- Shipping container modifications
- Plasma cutting
- Torch cutting
- Grinding and metal finishing
- Forklift operation
- Construction or manufacturing
- Welding certifications
Training will be provided on our fabrication processes, but applicants should have prior MIG welding experience.
