About the Role
As our Inventory/Receiving Specialist, you'll be responsible for accurately receiving, tracking, and organizing incoming materials and outgoing product, keeping our inventory systems up to date, and ensuring our warehouse operates efficiently and safely. You'll report to the Operations Manager and play a key role in keeping production and fulfillment on schedule. This is a hands-on, physically active role — you'll be on your feet and moving materials throughout the day, and spend a significant portion of your time operating a forklift.
What You'll Do
Receiving & Inspection
- Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, components, and supplies
- Inspect deliveries for accuracy, quantity, and damage against purchase orders and packing slips
- Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the appropriate team members
- Properly label, tag, and stage received materials for storage or production use
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory counts through regular cycle counts and physical audits
- Update inventory records in real time using company systems
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage to maximize space and accessibility
- Monitor stock levels and flag low-inventory or reorder needs to management
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
Warehouse Operations
- Operate a forklift for a large portion of the workday to move and stage materials
- Pull and stage materials for production runs and outgoing orders
- Ensure warehouse areas are clean, organized, and comply with safety standards
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed
Team Collaboration
- Communicate with production and accounting about material needs.
- Support accurate order fulfillment by coordinating with shipping/logistics
- Provide feedback on process improvements to reduce waste and improve efficiency
What You Bring
- Previous experience in inventory, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Comfortable using inventory or CRM systems (HubSpot, Inflow, or similar)
- Comfortable operating a forklift for extended periods (certification not required — training provided)
- Ability to routinely lift 70+ pounds
- Ability to be on your feet for approximately 90% of the workday
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Team player who communicates clearly and proactively
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
