In this role, you will help guests enjoy their Festival experience by answering questions, providing directions, and assisting with a variety of guest services. Familiarity with the Texas Renaissance Festival and its operations is preferred.
Season Information
- Seasonal position only
- Festival operates 8 weekends, October 10 – November 29, including Friday, November 27
- Mandatory training day on September 19th
- Mandatory dress rehearsal on October 3rd
- King's English is required for this Festival position.
Responsibilities
- Provide guests with general Festival information and directions
- Answer patron questions and assist with navigating the Festival grounds
- Apply identification wristbands to children to assist with reunification if separated from their guardians
- Manage lost-and-found items
- Direct wedding parties and other groups to their designated locations
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service while representing the Festival
Work Environment & Requirements
- This is an outdoor position requiring extensive walking and standing.
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions, including prolonged exposure to heat, cold, and rain.
- Renaissance-period costuming is required throughout the workday. Employees are responsible for providing their own costume.
- Familiarity with the Texas Renaissance Festival and its layout is preferred.
