We are seeking a Metal Fabrication Equipment Operator to support the production of structural steel and miscellaneous metal components. This position is responsible for operating fabrication equipment, interpreting production drawings, and ensuring finished parts meet quality standards.
The ideal candidate has experience with press brakes, shears, and structural steel fabrication in a manufacturing environment.
- Operate press brakes, shears, and other fabrication equipment to cut, bend, and form structural steel and miscellaneous metal products.
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, work orders, and production instructions.
- Measure, mark, and lay out materials using tape measures, squares, levels, and other precision measuring tools.
- Inspect completed parts to verify dimensions, accuracy, and overall quality.
- Move raw materials and finished products using forklifts and overhead cranes while following safe material handling practices.
- Keep equipment and work areas clean while following company safety procedures.
- Work with production personnel to maintain workflow and meet daily production goals.
- Two or more years of experience operating press brakes, shears, or similar metal fabrication equipment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication documents.
- Experience working with structural steel or miscellaneous metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of measuring, layout, and inspection tools.
- Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to workplace safety.
