Duties
- Conduct door-to-door visits within assigned neighborhoods to introduce our organization’s initiatives and gather community feedback
- Engage residents through friendly, persuasive conversations to promote programs or solicit support
- Utilize mobile devices to record interactions, update contact information, and track progress in real-time
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills to effectively negotiate and address questions or concerns from community members
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude during face-to-face interactions in outdoor settings
- Identify opportunities for community involvement, fundraising, or volunteer recruitment
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily outreach goals and share best practices for effective canvassing
Experience
- Prior field sales or canvassing experience preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Experience in marketing or community engagement is highly valued
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to connect with diverse populations
- Demonstrated outdoor work experience, including walking extensively in various weather conditions
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to engage conversationally and persuasively
- Supervising experience is beneficial for leadership opportunities within the team
