Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment conducive to infant exploration and comfort
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child’s progress, milestones, and daily experiences
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to respond effectively to emergencies
- Support individual developmental needs by observing behaviors and adjusting activities accordingly
- Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum enhancements that support early childhood education standards
- Adhere to mandated reporting laws and document any concerns related to child welfare or behavior management
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants or young children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision best practices
- Certification in first aid, CPR (including pediatric first aid), and mandated reporting laws is required or obtainable upon hire
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
- Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience and positive reinforcement techniques
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Demonstrated classroom management skills in early childhood education environments
- Passion for nurturing infants’ growth through engaging activities and compassionate care
