Blue Hills Ranch is a one-of-a-kind wildlife sanctuary and resort where guests can get closer to incredible animals, experience unforgettable adventures, and create memories they’ll talk about for years.
We’re looking for an outgoing, energetic, and highly personable Activities Director & Safari Tour Guide to become one of the faces of the Blue Hills Ranch guest experience.
Think cruise ship activities director meets safari guide.
This person will lead activities around the ranch, entertain and engage guests, conduct safari tours and animal experiences, and constantly look for ways to make every guest’s visit more fun, exciting, and memorable.
This is not a job for someone who wants to sit behind a desk. We’re looking for someone who loves people, loves animals, has a big personality, and isn't afraid to grab a microphone, lead a group, tell a great story, or get everyone involved in the fun.
What You’ll Do
Create the Fun
Plan, organize, and lead daily guest activities throughout Blue Hills Ranch.
We want someone who is constantly thinking:
"What can we do today that our guests will remember forever?"
Lead Safari Tours & Animal Experiences
You'll also serve as one of our safari guides and guest experience hosts.
Responsibilities may include:
- Leading safari tours around the ranch
- Sharing fun and interesting facts about our animals
- Introducing guests to giraffes, otters, kangaroos, zebras, and other animals
- Helping guests safely interact with animals
- Keeping groups entertained while maintaining a professional and educational experience
- Learning the personalities and stories of our animals and bringing those stories to life
You don't need to be a zoologist—but you must be excited to learn.
Be the Face of the Guest Experience
You'll interact with guests throughout their stay and help create the welcoming, adventurous atmosphere Blue Hills Ranch is known for.
You may:
- Welcome arriving guests
- Announce upcoming activities
- Encourage guests to participate
- Host special celebrations
- Help families plan their day
- Recognize birthdays and anniversaries
- Create spontaneous moments of fun
- Help turn problems into positive guest experiences

- Comfortable using a microphone
- Willing to work outdoors
- Able to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Someone who genuinely enjoys making other people happy
Experience in hospitality, entertainment, cruise ships, resorts, summer camps, theme parks, zoos, ranches, tourism, recreation, or event hosting is a plus—but personality and attitude are just as important to us.
