Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, building rapport through excellent communication skills and customer service.
- Assist customers in selecting automotive parts and accessories, leveraging your knowledge of vehicle systems and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Manage inventory levels accurately using inventory management systems (CMMS) and POS software to ensure stock availability and proper stock rotation.
- Process sales transactions efficiently at the cashier station, handling cash, credit card payments, and receipts with precision.
- Collaborate with the service team to facilitate order fulfillment, ensuring timely delivery of parts for vehicle repairs or maintenance.
- Maintain organized stock shelves, monitor inventory control metrics, and conduct regular stock counts to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Use Microsoft Office tools like Excel to track sales data, inventory reports, and customer interactions for continuous improvement.
- Build strong customer relationships by providing knowledgeable advice on automotive parts, accessories, and repair options while demonstrating professionalism via phone etiquette and client communication.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales or Powersports parts management; dealership experience is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, automotive diagnostics, and repair procedures.
- Familiarity with inventory management software (CMMS), POS systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), and retail math principles.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate with customers and suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining positive relationships.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Organizational skills with keen attention to detail for stocking, order fulfillment, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Knowledge of Powersports parts sales, accessories, and automotive service processes enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
