Towers Flowers Nesconset is a cherished family-owned and operated floral business. We're currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Floral Designer to join our vibrant team. We are looking for someone who is creative, organized and has a strong work ethic.
As our Floral Designer, your creative prowess will shine through as you:
- Maintain flower quality with proper watering and storage techniques.
- Craft both standard and custom floral designs, selecting appropriate flowers and accessories.
- Serve in-store customers, managing selections and processing payments effectively.
- Manage inventory of wires, foams, ribbons, tapes, and other floral supplies.
- Order fresh flowers from wholesalers and growers as needed.
- Keep accurate records of floral orders, special requests, and deliveries.
- Guide customers on maintaining and caring for their floral arrangements.
- Design client-specific floral arrangements, reflecting their preferences.
- Learn and apply the company’s foundational design styles in specialty floral designs.
- Use proper flower handling techniques, adhering to our production standards and cost controls.
Candidate Attributes:
- Brings at least 3+ years of hands-on custom floral design experience in a high-volume luxury floral shop or design studio.
- Excels in a team-oriented environment and contributes effectively to team dynamics.
- Demonstrates a proven ability to cater to client needs efficiently and professionally.
- Is self-motivated, has strong interpersonal skills, and exudes a high level of enthusiasm.
- Can prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Requirements:
- Flexibility, especially during peak periods. This includes the potential for extended work hours during holiday weeks.
- Comfort with the physical demands of the position, such as standing for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Proficiency in assisting customers with their selections and purchases, ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
- Capability to process sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system, maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our operations
